Editorial: CERN, the world's largest particle physics laboratory is a well-known example of a Research Infrastructure. CERN discovered neutral currents and the laboratory engineered the birth of the World Wide Web. Some 6 500 researchers of 80 different nationalities conduct experiments at the Geneva-based complex. It was at CERN that the idea of Research Infrastructures first dawned on the research community.
Together with project partners InfinIT and BrandBase, Biopeople and Bioneer has received a donation of DKK 2.8 million from the Danish Ministry of Research and Innovation for a project on biomarkers that will support and build on the Biomarker Network, established by Bioneer and Biopeople in January 2015.
