Patients are increasingly involved in the treatment of their diseases, which for many may be chronic and thus requires lifelong treatment. Patients are also interested in actively participating in the many processes involved in the development of new and better treatments - from participating in clinical trials, advice on the clinical protocol and informed consent including ethics.
New initiatives involve patients more actively in the development of new drugs and treatments covering from early research to marketing of the product to life cycle management. Therefore, it is important that patients have the necessary skills to actively contribute to these processes.
Biopeople, Patientforeningen Kræft i Underlivet (KIU), Foreningen for Kræftbehandlede med Senfølger og Lif Uddannelse invites you to a “Gå-hjemmøde” which will highlight how a patient can develop competencies and also give examples of where patients can actively contribute to the development of new and better treatments.
