Chinese BGI Institute Opens Collaborations in Denmark

Copenhagen 10 February 2012

BGI Europe (Beijing Genomics Institute) - one of the world's major genomic sequencing centers - today officially opens its European headquarter at Copenhagen Bio Science Park in Copenhagen.

Biopeople welcomes BGI Europe as new neighbour at COBIS. We are honoured to co-organise the BGI Europe led International Conference on Genomics (ICG-Europe 24-26 May 2012) with University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark and Aarhus University.

BGI Europe partners already in a new national technology platform that will facilitate the mapping of the Danish genome. Platform partners are University of Copenhagen, Technical University of Denmark, Aarhus University, Aalborg University, Bavarian Nordic A/S and Genomic Expression ApS.

The official opening today bears testimony to the successful collaboration between Europe and China.
