Nordic Life Science News puts focus on Biopeople as a gold labelled Life Science Cluster Organization
At the Biomarker AGORA 2016 many questions about the use of biomarkers will be clarified and also whether you can use menstrual tampons as diagnostic tools. The AGORA takes place at 1 November from 10.00 – 15.00 in ’Marmorhallen’ at the University of Copenhagen, Campus Frederiksberg, Thorvaldsensvej 40, 1871 Frederiksberg C. Everybody with an interest in the biomarker field are welcome. The Biomarker AGORA is hosted by Biopeople in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen and Denmark’s Technical University, and sponsored by Bioneer, Høiberg, Jusmedico and Pharma Danmark
In 2015 the Danish Life Science media MedWatch asked the Danish population about their opinion regarding collaboration with the Danish Pharmaceutical industry. 20,9 per cent were positive and 30,6 per cent were mostly negative. Recently MedWatch repeated the survey and now only 17,6 per cent replied that they were positive. This is an indication that the Danish population does not have any confidence in the pharmaceutical industry, despite the fact that in 2013 the Government produced an action plan to secure transparency in the collaboration between health care personnel and the industry. The objective of this was to change the Danish population’s perception of the industry.
The upcoming Biomarker AGORA has full house when it comes to exhibition booths – 76 companies and university projects will be displayed along with pitching sessions and two key-notes given by a Dutch and an American guest speaker respectively
Invitation from the PolyNano consortium funded by the Innovation Fund Denmark.
